The AMS class of Fellows:
The Fellows of the American Mathematical Society program recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics.
The responsibilities of Fellows:
The newly appointed Fellows will take part in the election of new Fellows and present a “public face” of excellence in mathematics as well as advise the AMS President and/or the AMS Council on public matters when requested.
